He didn't say anything. No. Never mentioned him again. He didn't say, come on, boys, go go ahead. I'll talk it over with that guy. He didn't do it because I think sometimes we get people that don't belong to him. But we can dress them up and we can bring them in. And then we have trouble. Yeah. Okay, you'll have trouble. I shared this a while back, Lawrence didn't like it. But I said, uh, I think when people join your church the first 30 days, you should make them climb through the window. You know, man, put a ladder out there. You know what I mean? I said, really see if they're serious about it. You know, he's not like it because he's not like me. I said, really find out, you know, what's going on. Right. But I I don't know. I I think God the Father, to me, I'm fascinated by. And uh, I just really there's so much um, I don't know, there's so little things that I ask God to do in my life. Uh, I mean, there might be some I asked him to watch over my mom or take care of my kids while they travel, but I know he loves them. Okay. And I I just think there I think if I delight myself in him, he'll give me the desires of my heart. He reads my heart. Yeah. And uh I may be oversimplifying it, but for me it just seems like that. Yeah. And that system has worked for me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, me too. He he showed me recently, because I came from I gotta earn it, gotta deserve it, that type thing. That the really important things in my life I have not earned. Yeah. I didn't sit down and go, I'm gonna find a wife who will stay with me for 46 years plus. Right. I didn't I didn't have a plan for that, but guess what happened? Yeah. You know, I didn't have a career path. My career path was what was the next opportunity.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And yet I've done okay in my career. I I didn't sit down as you know a high school senior and go, I'm gonna go this and this and this and this. I was just what's next? You know, where's the next opportunity and and make the most of it? And he's shown me that most of the things in my life I didn't earn. Yeah he just partnered with me and and uh and blessed me.

SPEAKER_01

You know, I think when we think about this, uh you know, there's a lot of pressure on kids nowadays. I might got one grandson's graduating. There's a lot of pressure on him.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I know I can't get him to understand it doesn't matter what he thinks he's gonna do, it's gonna change. Exactly. Okay, it don't matter, you know. And I said, you know, you know, I said, I think you'd be better off go to trade school, learn to be an electrician.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Uh but he got things he wants. He said, and this is his answer. He said, I can do all that later. But right now, I want to go to college and I want to try to do this, and I want to look into that, and there's some things I want to do. He said, but I know I can do those other things.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Anytime I want to, I can I can go into that. And I said, that makes sense if you're like that. I said, the only thing that scares me about college, and I'm a little scared. I said, I don't want some purple-haired girl to come along with a rainbow shirt on and giggle at you. And next thing I know, you got a Kamala hair sticker on your car. I said, I said, because if it does, somebody's butt's gonna get whooped. I said, I said, because I will shave her head and uh and possibly I'll go to jail, but it'll be after I'm done. I said, uh scared, oh no, no, he said, you know, I'm I'm alright with that. I said, okay, all right. And I do see up, I'm so encouraged by his generation. The the school he goes to in Ohio, it's a really good Christian school, and they're more uh Mennonite, but it's a tremendous school, tremendous school. Yeah. I I spoke I've spoken to their chapel a couple of times, like 2,000 kids in the chapel. Oh wow. Okay, I mean it's a it's a big school. Yeah, but I mean uh it's fascinating. Uh Jim, a while back, you know, I was I they uh they asked me to come, which is uh I know you're taking a chance when you ask me. But he it so I got up and I began to share, and uh and uh so he punched because he he was raised, never really heard me preach. The age he never when I pastored, he wasn't there. He wasn't right. He he'd crawl up on the platform when he's little, but but anyway, so and uh so I was trying to get started, so he punched his grandmother and said, You know, I'm worried about Papa. She said, Hold on a second, he ain't there yet. She's seen it before, right? So, you know, about three or four or five minutes I got into it. Right. I got into the
