With you. And like you said, once you show up it's all right. It's all right. But once you show up and and and you're there for them and you don't cancel on them and you don't tell them, you know, I can't be there tomorrow, that just makes all the difference, it seems like, in them and and works with them. And I I think there's so much to be said for showing up. If you'll just show up and you'll be there and do the job. I mean it's in business, it means a lot. We've always said if you know when you see a business that doesn't open on the consistent time, it seems like that's always you can see something getting ready to go out of business. It doesn't. Yes. But uh what about people in business? Do you get to meet a lot of people that that I mean people know your heart?

SPEAKER_01

Yes. So when you do somebody's hair, you know, you're with them for hours, and so a lot of times I say, I know people better than their pastor. You know, because I get to hear their story. We spend hours together, and it's um one of my greatest opportunities to minister.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And to, you know, build people up and share my story, you know, if and just it's been a great ministry opportunity for me.

SPEAKER_00

You know, my mom's eighty four, be eighty four, I think seventeenth, and going to the beauty shop's a big thing. Okay. She gets up on all the gossip and all the things, and they she loves going. She looks forward to that. I could ask her to go to Myrtle Beach and she don't want to go, but when it comes time to get her hair done, she's excited.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

She goes in fellowship and camaraderie, and she'll talk, she'll talk about this and talk about that. And my wife comes home with all kinds of things. She her, she just talks, they just, you know, I say, Well, what's happening in I know what's going on in the beautician and her daughter's life, and they're I know where they're working at and what's going on. They just talk, and it's really cool, Lanis. And when you think about it, you gotta have a personality. I imagine there's some out there that don't.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

They probably go broke.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's not just about I don't know. I think about it. All right, so you get to minister some. Okay, here's one of the challenges I think when we talk about ministry and life. I'm always worried that we're all going that everybody's trying to get us to become one. Instead of saying Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I think sometimes I get worried in the in this national religious group we have today that we get away from Jesus.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Saying Jesus is the only way.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

What do you think?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I mean that's what I always tell people, you must be born again. You know, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. There's no other way. And you know, that's the most important thing, the first step in turning your life around, or you know, he'll make a way for you when nobody else will. Right. So, yes, that is the the most important thing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And I think it's a great temptation to water it down. Can't we all get along? And it just scares me sometimes when I see that. You know what I mean? And I s I I've I've shared earlier, I have a big hope for this generation. I see them and I'm encouraged by this generation. I really am, because there's a way there they're starting to pick up on and they're walking in the light and they're seeing the Lord in a different way, you know, where we there was a difference in the way we everything is raised and done things. But I see something now that that I meet people like you then come along and say, Here's what God done for me.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay? Here's what he done for me, brought me out of this and brought me out of that, and he'd done this for me. Pow, pow, pow, pow. And that just such strength in the backbone makes it harder to to trick you for the devil to come in and trick you. Does that make sense?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, it does. I have two girls, one's a sixteen and one's twenty. So I go with them uh with a lot of their youth trips and things like that, and I can say that there is hope for this generation. God is gonna use them in such a mighty way. It's just a unique thing what God is doing in this younger generation that's coming up, and I'm just really excited about it.

SPEAKER_00

I you know, I am too. I I really am. And uh I I just mean I've got grandkids that I listen to, you know, and I listen to my grandson Carter that's helping us today. I listen to him and I see his I see his faith, and he can't be tricked, you know, as easily. You know what I mean? He can't be tricked, and uh he says he gets all kind of scam calls offering him jobs. I laugh at him all the time about that. He said, I just got another truck driving job today, he'll say, you know, and he says, Yeah, but but I I think that we there's just such a strength in you guys, and I'm encouraged by that. I see that. And we need that. We really do. We need people to take that on. You know, I deal a lot with this, I deal a lot with history, uh, history and ministry. Yes. And uh I deal a lot with the people that have went on to be with the Lord. Yes, and it's fascinating. I I was sharing earlier with I'm a little bit of a a Facebook machine, okay? I I am. I'm a social media Facebook, I've got 19 Facebooks, okay? I'm a multiple Facebook, I guess you could call me, all right? Because in business, I always started a separate Facebook for every business that I did.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And uh and let them all spider in. So then I looked up when I started going out of business and all these other things, decided I didn't want to do them anymore. I had all these Facebooks, like one called Urban Music, and I had all these different things, and I thought, what am I gonna do? So I started rebranding them. Okay, but I've got one called God's Generals.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, and and have you have you ever seen it?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I've well I've read the book, God's Generals.

SPEAKER_00

All right, when you look at this one, these are men and women who have been here in the mountains that are gone to be with the Lord. Wow. And I've got some of the only video footage of these of these people. And people that are unreal. I don't I know you probably hadn't heard of H. Richard Hall. He had more ministers license than the Assembly God.

SPEAKER_01

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Never slept a night in a motel. Preached some of the biggest churches in the country, slept in his van every night when he did. I mean, he's that kind of guy. I mean, just uh a plowhorse. I'd ride down he I I've been riding down a road with him for, and he'd shave with an old blue big razor, no water, no nothing to shave, and getting ready to go to church, you know, and slick his hair back, a little olive oil in his hair and slick his hair back. Just and the word of prophecy and words that would come from him. Uh I've just watched him speak into people's lives. It was just so prophetic, you know. But these kind of people, and these are these are generals, I believe, and they've been all over these mountains. Um that's just, you know, and I started compiling all these and putting them up where people could watch them. And it's been something that's been really wild. And uh, I don't know. I just the history part of this I enjoy.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I love history. Yeah. So I love history about so I will definitely be looking into that.

SPEAKER_00

I was sharing with uh I was sharing with uh Lawrence a few moments ago how there was a minister came through and his name um oh gee. I forgot who's now. I'll remember it again in a minute. But anyway, he prayed for teeth to turn gold.

SPEAKER_01

I heard of that.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. And I stood with him a thousand times, stood with him watching pray for those teeth and how they turn gold. Now he was a long-winded preacher. I'm talking about a four-hour preacher, okay? We had to take two videotapes to video him, but he was fascinating, you know, how God would use him. And and Ernest Angely, he was years ago one of the forerunners on Christian television, and had wore a white wig, he had a white toupee that he wore all the time. Had a sister named B. Medelin. She was about that big, and buddy, she prayed for people. She came through and was in our place and preached at my church and preached all over, and uh drove uh uh uh had a Lincoln and a lady it drove for and uh played the piano and stuff and sung and opened up her services. Awfulest singer you've ever heard in your life. She would bell her. Oh Lord, it would bring shivers up your back and
