My life.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02And I said that as a man being thrown out of churches before, okay? I mean being asked to leave because I wasn't where God needed me to be.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So it's hard. And and I talked to both of these people, okay? I talked to I talked to the man and I've talked to the woman separately. And both of them are doing great now. Yes. And I said, and when I speak about this one, and I talk about this one, and I said, let me ask you the same question that you I said, why are you so mad and still with them? Look at your life now. Look at how blessed you are. And so if they would have been a little nicer, you would have tolerated it. Yes. And and I don't know, but think about the first husband you're talking about.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02If he would have just come off drugs a little bit, possibly. Okay? Maybe not got high every day. And not got drunk every day or whatever. Yes. You would just, oh, you know what I mean? But that wasn't God's plan.
SPEAKER_01No, and that's that whole thing about Pharaoh was one thing that I always said reminded me a lot of my situation with him, how God hardened Pharaoh's heart. Because when God was calling me out of that situation, at any time, I always was so connected to him, I felt like I had to help him. At any time, if he would have said, I'm sorry, I'll do whatever it takes, I'll go to rehab, you know. And he did that three times. And I took him to rehab, he got out, didn't ended up in a mess again. And then at any time, if he would have done that, then I would have had to help him. I would have taken him back. But it was like God hardened his heart through that period. And you know, me and him, we were young, we were both on drugs when we met. You know, we met at a New Year's Eve party when I was 17. And so God doesn't join everybody together. Sometimes we join ourselves to people and God don't have nothing to do with it. Absolutely. But God knows every mistake that we're gonna make before we make it. You know, I got my 16-year-old daughter out of after we got married, you know, I got her out of it, and it was such a blessing. But it was seven years because I was already saved when I married him. I knew he was doing drugs before I got married to him. I knew God didn't want me to marry him. You know, I had felt it in my heart not to do it. But I did it. I cried my wedding night, and I cried almost every day, at least a few times a week for seven years. You know, and then when it was time, God hardened his heart to the point that I couldn't stay. Yeah. And, you know, it's worked out and now I'm married to an amazing man and and I wouldn't have, you know, he never ever said you never tried to apologize or anything until I had started dating my husband. And so because he, you know, God knows and he knows you. Yeah. And I would always pray because I would get close to taking him back, and I knew that's not what God wanted, but I would get close because I would get weak, and I would pray and I would say, God, you said that you would make me a way of escape. And then he would end up doing something, or I'd find something else out. Right. You know.
SPEAKER_02See, I think it's so powerful. If you're I think that's part of being chosen, many are called if you were chosen. There's two levels of this thing. There's two levels. You're gonna come, baby. You're just gonna have to buckle up. If you now come the hard way or the easy way, it's just whatever you'd like to do. You know what I mean? Yes. And uh and I think when there's called people and chosen people. And when we're chosen for specific things, that's like back to trusting. I trust the anointing so much that I I don't lean to my skill or my understanding. If we're sitting down today, I trust the same anointing that it takes to pray for the blind eyes and the deaf ears. Uh, that we can make history today.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02Okay, that we can touch a life somewhere, uh 10,000 miles away.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_02Okay? I believe that. And I don't believe that God wastes your time or my time. I believe that every step's ordained. And I enjoy it, but I can enjoy it on the way because I'm doing just what I'm supposed to do, not everything I can do. I used to think I had to preach 40 nights straight. You know, and I would go and every night go, and and I just I almost killed myself doing that. You know what I mean? Slip on church pews after church pews, five dollars a night in the offering, cleaning up in the bathroom in the cold water, and just sleeping there and preaching little old churches anywhere I could possibly just cause doing everything I thought I could do.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02Instead of just what I'm supposed to do. And I found that life, I start to do more. And I do think in the end of this that God wants us to enjoy our life.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02Enjoy our family. It ain't all about heaven and hell. He wants us to be people that enjoy ourselves. You know, and I say that all the time. I'm going to enjoy myself, enjoy my wife, enjoy my kids, you know, enjoy my grandkids and send them home and let them go and do what they want to do. Going about my business. You know what I mean? I do that. We keep our camper sitting in the driveway. And I was sharing a while back. We stay out about two weeks at a time in the camper. We just go. We don't know if we're going north or south until we get to the end of the road most of the time. And my wife and I'm talking about it. We've been sitting there at home before and had dinner with the kids. My kids eat about two nights a week with me during the summer. They come over. I've got an 800 square foot house, and everybody comes. Porch is as big as my house. But we come and eat together, and we were sitting there one night about eight o'clock and and uh got done, the kids had all left, and I said, let's go to Myrtle Beach. And put 50 gallons of water in the camper and about 3 o'clock in the morning. We're sitting in the Crackle Barrel Parking lot at Myrtle Beach, enjoying each other, enjoying our life and our time because this is a part of our life.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02That we're supposed to do that. And uh I don't know. We have not covered most of the stuff we're supposed to talk about, but we'll do this another time.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02Okay? And uh I've got all kinds of ideas and stuff. All right, but uh, but I really appreciate you, I really do, and I admire you. You know, I really do, and I appreciate you sharing about years ago how you watched the station. That that touches our heart too. You just we have worked at this for so many years that I I can't even tell you the struggles and the things because it's been okay. As you watch that station, there was times that it was snowing outside, okay? Snowing, a blizzard, and we would have a problem at the tower, up on the tower where the station would go out. And we would drive to the top of the mountain and a Jeep would change on all four wheels. Connie's husband, Mike, would climb it in the snow, a hundred-foot tower to fix it so people could hear the gospel. You know, and it those are things that we we didn't think was that hard. We stood there, come back down with snow all over him and ice all on him, climbing up stuff and doing stuff, making things work. But uh, I feel like it's what we're supposed to do. Yes. You know, that's what we're supposed to do. It's good. Well, thank you. I really appreciate you. You're a blessing. You really are, brother. You're one of the few people that I've interviewed that I wasn't already friends with. Okay? Okay, I asked, I said, can you tell me a little something about her so I really know what's going on here? I don't want to say something that's disrespectful for me, which I'm not going to anyway.
